11.4 VMIB System Greetings and Prompts
Description
The VMIB incorporates memory for System Greetings and various voice prompts. System
Greetings, which are recorded from the System Attendant, are used for Hunt Groups, Auto
Attendant, etc. The various voice prompts have been pre-recorded and stored in the VMIB.
The System Attendant can record System Prompts to be used in place of the pre-recorded
prompts. The pre-recorded prompt remains in memory but the prompt recorded by the
Attendant is used. Should the Attendant recorded prompt be erased, the pre-recorded prompt
is used..
Announcements 001 to 070 are employed for System Greetings and other announcements
are employed in place of the pre-recorded prompts as shown in the chart below.

To listen to your messages, press one.
To record your greeting, press two.
To send a message, press three.
For personal options, press 4.
To access administrative options, press 9.
To access another mailbox, press pound.
089 To hear the current message, press one,
To hear the next message, press two,
To delete the current message, press three,
To reply to the current message, press five,
To forward the current message, press six,
To call the sender, press seven,
For the main menu, press star.
096 At the tone, please leave a message, to stop recording press the pound key.
097 No pre-recorded prompt, replaces SLT stutter dial tone for message waiting
indication
098 Used as the default User Greeting, no pre-recorded prompt
