4.17 On-Hook dialing
Description
A station can place a call without lifting the handset. When a digit is dialed, the speakerphone
is automatically activated.
Operation
To use On-hook dialing,
1. Dial the number as usual.
Consideration
When dialing Off-hook, dialing must begin within the ICM Dial Tone timer. Whether
dialing On or Off-hook, subsequent digits must be dial in the inter-digit time or error tone
is received and the LCD displays ‘Dialing too late’.
Admin Programming
Auto Speaker Selection (PGM 111, Flexible button 1)
Enable the speakerphone to activate when a digit is dialed or button pressed
ICM Dial Tone Timer (PGM 181, Flexible button 7)
Sets the duration the user receives dial-tone before time-out
Inter-digit Timer (PGM 181, Flexible button 8)
Sets the time allowed between dialed digits
