3.9 Flash
Description
Flash is employed to request new dial tone from analog CO lines or from the ipLDK (Intercom
dial tone). For analog CO lines the type of Flash, open loop or ground and the duration of the
Flash can be assigned.
Operation
To activate a Flash from a DKT while on a call,
1. Press the [FLASH] softkey.
To activate a flash while on a CO line from a SLT;
1. Momentarily press the hook-switch
2. Dial 5 5 1.
Consideration
The Flash command is not available on ISDN CO Lines.
If a station is restricted from outgoing calls on a CO line, Flash is not permitted.

System Numbering Plan (PGM 106, Flexible button 8)
Assigns the dial code for an SLT to Flash on a CO Line.
Flash Type (PGM 141, Flexible button 7)
Defines the type of Flash for CO lines, open loop or ground
CO Flash Timer (PGM 142, Flexible button 12)
Sets the duration of the Flash for CO lines
SLT Hook-switch Bounce Timer (PGM 182, Flexible button 1)
Sets the time the system will recognize as contact bounce for the SLT hook-switch
SLT Maximum Hook-switch Flash Timer (PGM 182, Flexible button 2)
Sets the maximum time an SLT can press the hook-switch for a Flash
SLT Minimum Hook-switch Flash Timer (PGM 182, Flexible button 3)
Sets the minimum time an SLT can press the hook-switch for a Flash
