16 PRIVATE NETWORKING
Description
The ipLDK-60 can be linked with other systems over a private network to reduce costs while
providing access to common communications features and sharing resources across the
network. ipLDK supports two standards based protocols for basic networking functions and
LG-Ericsson protocols for advanced network features (e.g., BLF Presence Manager).
Protocols employed include:
QSig protocol via ISDN PRI
ETS 300 237 / 238 / 256 / 257 / 260 / 261 / 361 / 362 / 363 / 364
IP standard protocol
H.323 for Call Control, H.450.1 - H.450.12
Proprietary protocol for advanced functions
ipLDK can support various interconnected corporate IP and ISDN network configurations with
up to 72 systems in the private network. A Unified Numbering Plan is established across the
network for transparent operation. Stations of each networked system are assigned a unique
2 to 7 digit station number. Dialing the number from any networked system contacts the
station.

Consideration
Special software provided through local distributors activates the Private Networking
feature in each ipLDK-60.
ipLDK supports either Screened or Unscreened call transfer between networked systems.
