14.6 ISDN Supplementary Services
Description
In many cases, the ISDN service provider offers enhanced services, to which a user may
subscribe. ipLDK-60 allows access to Call Deflection or Call Reroute ISDN “Supplementary
Service” implemented under the ETSI regime as described below.
14.6.1 ISDN Call Deflection
Description
When the ISDN Supplementary Service “Call Deflection” is supported on an ISDN line, a user
can forward incoming calls on the ISDN line directly without the call being offered to the ipLDK
user.
When Call Deflection is used, the system sends a call-deflection request message with the
telephone number to receive calls to the ISDN. The ISDN then sends all incoming calls
unconditionally to the desired telephone number until the user deactivates the forward.
Operation
To activate ISDN Call Deflection to an external number from the station using a Speed Dial,
1. Lift the handset or press the On/Off button.
2. Press the [DND/FOR] button or dial the Forward code ‘5 5 4’.
3. Dial the Call Forward type code 5 or 6.
4. Seize a CO line, optional.
5. Dial the Speed Dial bin.
6. Return to idle.
To activate ISDN Call Deflection to an external number from the station using a Speed Dial,
1. Lift the handset or press the On/Off button.
2. Press the [DND/FOR] button or dial the Forward code ‘5 5 4’.
3. Dial the Call Forward type code 8 or 9.
4. Seize a CO line, optional.
5. Dial the desired telephone number.
6. Return to idle.
To deactivate ISDN Call Deflection from the station,
1. Press the flashing [DND/FWD] button.
Or
1. Lift the handset or press the [On/Off] button.
2. Dial 5 5 9, the DND/FWD Cancel code.
Consideration
The Call Deflection Supplementary Service is defined by the ETS300-202/206/207
standards and must be supported by the ISDN.
