Consideration
CLI Message Wait is available for calls to a DKT w/LCD from ISDN or VoIP DID lines only.
The station must have CLI Message Wait and CLIP Display enabled.
The system can store 500 CLI Messages and, should the buffer fill, the system will output
the buffer full message on the RS-232 port.
CLI Messages are saved even if a power failure occurs.
When directed to a Ring Group the first member of the group receives the CLI Message.
For Hunt Groups, the first station that rang for the call receives the CLI Message Wait.
CLI Message Wait is activated when a station or station of a Group receives ring for the
call. If a VMIB announcement is assigned, CLI Message Wait is available after the
announcement.
If the call encounters Call Forward, the station activating Call Forward receives the CLI
Message Wait.
If a Station Speed Dial bin is assigned with the CLI number, the name associated with the
Speed Dial can be displayed using the [Call Back] button.
If the caller leaves a VMIB Message, a CLI Message is still activated. In this case, the
user cannot delete all CLI Messages; the VMIB Message must be deleted first.
Messages waiting are delivered to the user in the following priority:
VMIB Message -> CLI Message -> VM Grp Message
If a station receives multiple CLI Messages from the same caller, the system will save a
single record with the number of messages (max 15) and the time of the last message
was left by the caller.
The SMDR output can be configured to include both the CLI and station number.
