PSTN, use to place a call that terminates to a public network
Net, use to access internal resources (stations, paging, etc.) of a networked system
12. Enter Numbering Plan code digits, up to 16.
13. Enter Network CO Group to use for the Numbering Plan Code
14. Repeat for each Network Numbering Plan code.
Each Numbering Plan code is a series of up to 16 digits. If the DID number or station user
dialed number matches a Numbering Plan Code, the call is routed using the instructions for the
code. The code can be a Station number sequence, CO Transit-out code or a Network VM
Group code.
The Network Numbering Plan code for local station to station calls is the first digit of the Station
Numbering Plan (PGM 105) followed by ‘#’ to indicate local and ‘*’ as wild card digits, e.g., 1#**
for the remaining station number digits. The Numbering Plan code for networked station to
station calls is the first digit of the Station Numbering Plan of the network system followed by ‘*’
as a wild card for the remaining station number digits, e.g., 2**, 3**, etc. A Network
Numbering Plan code is required for each networked system to allow station to station and DID
call routing over the network.
Example customer requirements:
Three sites are to be linked in a network using ISDN PRI lines
System A is HQ with station numbers 100 to 133
System B is Branch 1 with station numbers 200 to 214
System C is Branch 2 with station numbers 300 to 328
Incoming DID numbers are 555-7200 to 555-7450 at HQ only
HQ has a 12 channel partial PRI for DID lines, 3 analog CO lines (one is a Private line)
and 8 IP channels for networking
Branch 1 has 4 IP channels for networking and 3 analog CO lines
Branch 2 has 8 IP channels for networking and 4 analog CO lines, one is a Private line
For the main number, 555-7200, a CCR announcement is desired as an Auto Attendant
