Issue 2.2
Feature Description and Operation Manual
258
17.3.3 LDK Utilities, Software Upgrade
Description
PC Admin utilities permit changing the system software to upgrade features and functions.
Software can be downloaded to the system using the RS-232 port, Modem or LAN connection
(refer to Ref. A).
Operations
For operations, see the PC Admin User Guide
Consideration
The system may require a reset after the database or software is uploaded.
When upgrading software, do not interrupt the process. When the system returns to
normal operation changes can be made to the database, etc.
Database access is allowed to only a single user, DKT or PC Admin at a time;
simultaneous database access is not allowed.
Should the connection fail during a session, re-open a session.
When using the Modem or LAN connection a system reset will disconnect the active
session and a new connection must be established for further PC Admin activity.
