4.10 CO Line Call Hold
Description
A user can place a CO line call on hold. The held call will receive MOH from the assigned
source. The call may be placed on Exclusive Hold where only the holding station can pick-up
the held call or the call may be placed on System Hold and any station with access to the CO
line may pick-up the held call. For Exclusive hold, the CO line LED at other stations will be On,
for System Hold, the LED will flash at all stations. Pressing the [HOLD/SAVE] button on the
DKT places the call on Preferred Hold (refer to Ref. A), default System Hold. Pressing the
[HOLD/SAVE] button twice places the call on the non-Preferred Hold, Exclusive Hold.
The call will remain on hold until picked-up or the Exclusive or System Hold Recall timer, as
appropriate, expires. After the Hold Recall time expires (Exclusive or System), the holding
station receives recall ring for the I-Hold Recall time. After the I-Hold Recall time, a call on
Exclusive Hold is placed on System hold and the station and Attendant will receive ring. If the
call remains unanswered for the Attendant Recall time, the call is dropped.
Operation
To place a CO Line on Hold from a DKT,
1. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button once, the call is placed in the preferred (Exclusive or
System) Hold.
2. Press the Hold button a second time, the call is placed in the non-preferred Holds.
To place a CO Line on Hold from an SLT,
1. Press and release the hook-switch.
2. Dial the Hold code 5 6 0.
To access a held CO Line from the holding DKT,
1. Lift the handset.
2. Press the {CO} button.
To access a held CO Line from the holding SLT,
1. Lift the handset.
2. Dial ‘8 *’.
