4. If the called station is busy, a Call Back is activated. If the called station does not
answer or is in DND, a Station Message Wait is activated.
To respond to a Station Message Wait from an SLT,
1. Lift the handset; stutter dial tone indicates a message waiting.
2. Dial 5 5 7, the Call Back/Station Message Wait response code.
3. An intercom call is place to the station that left the message.
Consideration
A station may receive a Call Back from any or all stations however, after the first Call
Back, additional Call Back requests are stored as Message Waits.
A station may have a maximum of five (5) Station Message Waits.
Station Message Waits are protected from a power failure.
The user activating Call Back must respond to the Call Back recall in 30 seconds or the
Call Back request is terminated and a Message Wait is activated to the station from the
originally called station.
The ipLDK-60 does not support SLT MWI lamps.
When calling a station assigned a VMIB Voice mailbox (refer to Ref. C), activating
message wait will connect the user to the station’s mailbox and the greeting is played.
The user may hang-up to leave a Station Message Wait or after the greeting may leave a
voice message. If a voice message is left, the Station Message Wait is cancelled and
the Voice Message is registered. In either case, the station receives the message.
Placing a call to a station after leaving a Station Message Wait/Call Back will cancel the
Station Message Wait/Call Back.
Message Wait reminder tone repeats at a programmable interval, 01 to 60 minutes.
Message Wait reminder remains active until all the messages are retrieved.
For Call Backs and returning a Station Message Wait, the ipLDK employs tone ringing
intercom calls, overriding the assigned Intercom Signaling Mode (refer to Ref. A).
