Projection Width The width of the rectangle circumscribing around an object.
Perimeter Length of border around the object. If an object is circle in shape, its perimeter refers to
"circumference.
Angle of Principal
Axis
The angle that is formed when the principal axis of an object and the x axis are
intersected. For rectangle-, circle- or triangle-shaped objects, the angle of the principal
axis cannot be computed. (The angle of the principal axis may be infrequently output, but
you cannot use the computed data due to its incorrectness.) In this case, the angle of the
principal axis "180.0" is output.
The detected angle of principal axis differs depending on the slope direction of the object.
The slope of the principal axis rising from left to right is negative as the figure shown
below. The slope of the principal axis falling from left to right is positive.
The range of a detected theta is +/- 90 degrees. Thus, as shown in Figures A and B, the same theta value is
output even if rotational angles of the objects are different.
