Standard Wipes
Wipes fall into several different categories on the switcher, depending on how they appear when
being performed.
Classic Wipes
Classic wipes, (Figure 18.1), are the most basic type of wipe, that involve some pattern that
expands, or shrinks, to reveal the destination video.

Rotary Wipes
Rotary wipes, (Figure 18.2), unlike Classic wipes, involve rotation of a pattern to reveal the
destination video.
