16.4 Adjusting the Backlight
Procedure
UTILITY System Configuration Menu
Press UTILITY, System Configuration, and then the Back Light soft key to display the following
menu.
Enables or disables Auto OFF
Turns off the backlight
Set the backlight brightness.
Explanation
Backlight Auto OFF
The backlight turns off automatically when there are no key operations for the specified time period.
The backlight turns back on when you press a key.
Backlight Brightness
You can change the backlight brightness. You can set the brightness to a value between 1 (dark) and
8 (bright). You can prolong the backlight service life by decreasing the backlight brightness and turning
off the backlight when you do not need to view the screen.
LCD OFF
You can turn off the backlight. When the backlight is off, you can turn the backlight back on by pressing
a key.
