VP - 3.10 X-Axis Solenoids to Platen Channel Check
Purpose:
Perform this procedure to verify Platen Channels are parallel to X-Axis Guide Rods.
1. Put Sample Loader in Manual Mode.
a. Press and Hold
MAN
and
START
.
b. Turn Power
ON
, hold keys down until BEEPING stops.
2. Press (
←X→)
keys, move the solenoids alon
g
their full len
g
th of travel.
3. Visually confirm the followin
g
:
• The solenoids complete the movement without touchin
g
the Platen.
• The
g
ap between each solenoid and the Platen Channel is approximately the same all alon
g
the len
g
th of travel.
4. IF Check is OK,
g
o to “VP - 3.12 Platen to Laser Shield Check” (Pa
g
e 3-47).
5. IF Check Fails,
g
o to “VP - 3.11 X-Axis Solenoids to Platen Channel Adjustment” (Pa
g
e 3-45).
