Purpose:
Perform this procedure to verify and edit Barcode Reader confi
uration, Europe Only.
CAUTION:This procedure supersedes ACS product info #97-005, CD 012A and 97-H-1996-007.
1. Prepare Link Cable (use Fi
ure 3-88 as a reference).
NOTE:Cable compatible with [NON-CE MARK] and [CE MARK] Barcode Readers.
a. Use four-wire si
nal cable about 2m lon
.
b. Attach connectors (DB9 - female) to each end.
c. Label connectors
BCR
and
COMPUTER
.
2. Turn power
OFF
at Sample Loader and Data Station.
3. Remove Sample Loader cover(s) to access CPU Main Board.
4. Disconnect Barcode Reader Cable at CH2 on CPU Main Board.
5. Connect
BCR
connector of Link Cable to Barcode Reader Cable.
6. Connect
COMPUTER
connector of Link Cable to port labeled
EXTERNAL COMPUTER
(back of
Data Station) or
COM1
of laptop.
