VP - 3.11 X-Axis Solenoids to Platen Channel Adjustment
Purpose:
Perform this procedure to ali
n the Platen Channels with the X-Axis Guide Rods.
1. Perform Check procedure “VP - 3.10 X-Axis Solenoids to Platen Channel Check” (Pa
e 3-43).
2. Loosen (4) Platen Mountin
screws 1/2 turn (Fi
ure 3-20).
NOTE:Though the location of the Platen Screws may be different, there is a slot in the platen for
each Platen Screw. Use this slot as a means of locating the Platen Screws.
3. Adjust Platen until solenoid travel is parallel to Platen Channel and
ap is same for both
Solenoids (Fi
ure 3-19, Pa
e-3-44).
4. Verify rack to Laser shield check is still OK. Perform “VP - 3.8 Rack to Laser Shield Check” (Pa
e
3-39),
5. Go to “VP - 3.12 Platen to Laser Shield Check” (Pa
e 3-47).
