VP - 11.1 Barcode Check
Purpose:
Perform this procedure to verify Barcode Reader Operation.
1. Perform Platen checks VP-3.8,VP-3.10, VP-3.16.
2. Clean Laser shield

lass front and back, if old style Laser Shield (without detachable Window
Mount), ensure

lass extends to bottom of notch in platen wall (Fi

ure 3-76). If

lass needs
adjustment,
g
o to “VP - 11.2 Barcode Adjustment” (Pa
g
e 3-145).
a. Remove shield and clean
g
lass on both sides.
b. Inspect and clean Barcode Reader lenses.
c. Install laser shield.
3. Allow system to place tool under paddle.
a. Block safety cover sensor.
b. Ensure Data Station is on, system is initialized, and Closed Sampler is selected.

nment Tool in tube position number 1 of a rack and install rack in #1 position

d. Load other nine (9) racks.
e. Put Loader in Normal Mode.
f. Press
START
on Sample Loader.
