31 In the Insert New Variable dialog box, enter the Internal Name as
RampLoadingRate (no spaces).
32 Under the label Add To, select the Sample radio button.
33 Click OK.
34 In the General tab, set the following values:
a Display name = RampLoading Rate
b Unit class = Force Rate
c Unit Type = mN/s
35 In the Description tab, enter Loading rate during the initial ramp.
36 In the Formula tab, click the Edit… button.
37 In the Formula Editor dialog box, type
RampForceLimit/RampTime (no spaces) into the text box.
38 Click the Check button.
39 Verify that the response is Formula is okay.
40 Click OK.
41 In the Advanced tab, set the following values:
a Category = Load Segment Formulas
b When = Pre Sample
c Deselect all options.
42 Select Validate Method from the Tools menu.
43 Verify that you receive a message box that the method is valid.
44 On the left-hand side of the screen, click on the Test Flow tab.
45 Scroll down and select the GoTo – Raw Load, Loading,
LoadingRateForStrain test segment, as shown in
Figure D-67 on
page D-58.
