If NanoSuite is already running, then:
1 Choose Method > Open Method.
2 Select Scratch > G-Series Ramp Load Scratch from the Filename
drop-down menu as shown in
Figure E-3.
3 Click OK.
Once the method has been opened, continue with the procedure:
4 Install the sample tray, with the fused silica standard in the center
hole, into the instrument according to
"Install the Sample Tray into
the Indenter" on page 39.
5 Set up a batch of samples for scratch testing:
a Select Batch Mode from the Mode menu.
b Follow the instructions for "First Batch Test" on page 48 in
Chapter 2, "Quick Start Guide" using the fused silica in the center
of the sample tray. Follow the procedure exactly as written. In the
Required Inputs section, keep the default values and click Next
Step.
6 Click the Review tab to reveal the test results.
7 Click the first test number in the Legend pane to select the first test.
The default graph should look similar to Figure E-4 on page E-5.
