Control
Channel
This field shows whether the TDM bus has the control channel on it
(“y”/”n”). Only one TDM bus of a TDM bus pair on each Port Network can
have the control channel on it at a given time. If the system does not
contain a PN, blanks appear in this field.
When Control Links are down, this field is blank.
Dedicated
Tones
This field shows whether the TDM bus has the system tones on it (“y”/”n”).
Only one TDM bus of a TDM bus pair can have system tones on it at a
given time. If the system does not contain a PN, blanks appear in this field.
When Control Links are down, this field is blank.
TONE/CLOCK
The location of the circuit pack (IPSI or Tone-Clock pack) containing the
Tone-Clock circuit in the specified Port Network. The location is
represented using the cabinet and carrier where the Tone-Clock resides
(e.g., 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, etc.).
When Control Links are down, this field is blank.
Service State
This field represents the operational state of the Tone-Clock circuit. A
service state of “in” means the Tone-Clock has been installed and is in
normal operation. A service state of “out” means that the Tone-Clock is out
of service and has failed certain maintenance tests.
When Control Links are down, this field is blank.
System Clock
This field shows which IPSI or Tone-Clock circuit pack supplies the system
clock for that port network by displaying the mode of the Tone-Clock. An
“active” mode means that the Tone-Clock supplies the system clock. Only
one Tone-Clock in each Port Network can have a mode of “active” at any
given time. A “standby” mode means the Tone-Clock is part of a duplicated
clock system and is ready to supply the system clock, but is not currently
“active.” A “down” mode means the Tone-Clock is not operational.
When Control Links are down, this field is blank.
System Tones
This field shows which IPSI or Tone-Clock circuit pack supplies the system
