10.3 Assigning Workareas
The analysis results from measurements are organized in workareas. At least one workarea must be assigned to
a user in order for the user to run measurements, otherwise an error message will appear. All measurement data
is saved in the workarea selected during a measurement run. Users can only work with measurement data from
workareas to which they have been assigned access. New workareas can be created and assigned to one or more
users via the User Rights Management area.
To create and assign Workareas:
1
Click on User and Rights Management. The User Rights Management dialog box appears.
2
Right-click on the All Workareas main menu, and select Create new workarea. A dialog box opens in
which a new workarea can be created.
3
In the All Users main menu, open the user account menu that is to be assigned the workarea.
A User Workareas sub-menu will become available.
4
Open the All Workareas main menu and drag the desired workarea into the User Workareas sub-menu.
This workarea will be added to the user account.
To later deny access to a workarea:
1
Open the User Workareas sub-menu in the user account that is to be modified.
2
Right-click on the workarea that is to be removed and click on Remove the workarea from the user.
Workareas can be deleted by right-clicking on the workarea to be removed and choosing the option Delete.
It is not possible to delete a workarea if a measurement associated with that workarea exists in the database.
