Example Partial-Loop Injection Parameters:
Sample loop size: 100
μL
Injection volume: 50
μL
Cut volume: 20
μL
To perform the injection, the AS aspirates 90
μL from the sample vial
(the inject volume plus double the cut volume) and delivers it to the
injection valve. Then, enough flush fluid is drawn into the syringe to
position the sample. One cut volume (20
μL) flows to waste and the
next 50
μL is loaded into the loop. At injection, 50 μL is injected.
After injection, the remaining cut volume (20
μL) flows to waste.
