TASK INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Jack the aircraft using the built-in jack points. (See “Empty Weight and CG Measurement While
on Jackpoint Scales” on page 3-32.)
2. Disconnect the actuator from the bell crank.
3. With the end of the actuator free, continue to watch the excessive friction occurring within the
actuator installation after powering up the aircraft and actuating the landing gear.
4. Retract and extend the disconnected landing gear installation by hand to check for excessive
friction between components within that installation.
VERIFICATION METHOD:
Retracting and extending the landing gear verifies there is excessive friction within the system.
