U8480 Series Programming Guide 313
TRIGger[1][:IMMediate]
This command causes a trigger to occur immediately, provided the U8480 Series
is in the wait-for-trigger state. When this command is executed, the measurement
result is stored in the U8480 Series memory. Use FETCh? to place the
measurement result in the output buffer.

Error message
If the U8480 Series is not in the wait-for-trigger state, then
TRIGger[1][:IMMediate] causes error –211, “Trigger ignored” to occur.
This command performs the same function as INITiate[1][:IMMediate].
TRIG This command causes a U8480 Series trigger to occur
immediately.
