1. WXR Annunciations
WXR ON - Flashes white if R/T is on and aircraft is on the ground.
WXR FAIL - Amber if R/T has failed.
WXR RANGE DISAGREE - Amber if WXR range differs from range
selected.
2. Fault Messages
Messages are stacked vertically on top of each other when the WXR is in
TEST mode and the aircraft is on the ground.
R/T - Receiver/Transmitter problem.
ANT - Antenna has stopped scanning.
CNTL - Control panel problem.
ATT - Stabilization input to the R/T are invalid.
CAL - Automatic calibration not available. Transmitter output power is low.
STAB - Antenna elevation drive has exceeded limits and is driving into
mechanical stops.
3. Status Messages
RNG - Range displayed in nautical miles.
MAP - Map mode. Ground mapping on.
STBY - No scanning, transmitter off.
WX - Weather radar detection on.
WXR OFF - Weather radar detection off.
WX/T - Weather/Turbulence detection on.
TURB - Turbulence detection on.
TEST - Test mode on.
REAC - WXR Rain Echo Attenuation Compensation Technique (REACT)
circuitry is enabled.
GCS/ID - Ground clutter suppression on.
VAR - Variable gain. GAIN knob not in CAL position.
TLT - Tilt angle displayed in degrees.
