Warning and Alerting -
Description and Operation

• Logic - tail windshear condition determined by FCC.
• Inhibit - above 1,500’ RA.
VISUAL - red WINDSHEAR on PFD.
• Logic - tail windshear condition determined by FCC.
• Inhibit - above 1,500’ RA.
REMARKS - Refer to windshear description, AUTOMATIC FLIGHT chapter.
Increasing Performance Windshear
AURAL - tone and WINDSHEAR voice.
• Logic - head windshear condition determined by FCC.
• Inhibit - above 1,500’ RA.
VISUAL - amber WINDSHEAR on PFD.
• Logic - head windshear condition determined by FCC.
• Inhibit - above 1,500’ RA.
REMARKS - Refer to windshear description, AUTOMATIC FLIGHT chapter.
Overspeed
AURAL - clacker.
• Logic - airspeed above Vmo/Vmo plus 4 KTS or above 280 KTS with
slats extended.
• Inhibit - takeoff (80 KTS to 400’ RA) and landing (100’ RA to 80 KTS).
VISUAL - red and white bar on airspeed tape on PFD.
• Logic - airspeed above Vmo/Vmo plus 4 KTS.
• Inhibit - none.
REMARKS - none.
Takeoff Configuration Slats Warning
AURAL - tone.
• Logic - slats not in takeoff range, a/c on ground and throttle 1 or 2
advanced for takeoff.
• Inhibit - takeoff (V1 to 400’ RA) and landing (100’ RA to 80 KTS).
VISUAL - red SLAT message on EAD.
• Logic - takeoff roll and slats not in takeoff range.
• Inhibit - a/c airborne.
REMARKS - visual is white during taxi and turns red when flight phase changes
to takeoff roll.
