WhenselectingaWAVEfile,youcanpressthePlay
buttontoauditionthefilestohelpyoufindthe
desiredone.
Youcanalsousethe“Name”fieldlocatedaboveto
assignanametotheregion.Editthe“Name”after
you’veselectedafile.
Note:TheOKbuttonisavailableonlyifyou’ve
selecteda48kHzmonauralWAVEfile.Ifyou’ve
selecteda44.1kHzfileora48kHzstereofile,the
buttonwillbegrayedoutandyouwon’ tbeableto
pressit.
ThePlaybuttonisavailableonlyifyou’veselecteda
48kHzWAVEfile.
Editingaregionwillaffecttheaudiotrackforthe
entiresong.Usecautionwheneditingaregionthat’s
alreadyusedinanaudiotrack.
7. PresstheOKbutton,theselectedregionwillbe
placedintheaudiotrack.
8. Selecttheeventthatyouwanttoedit,andusethe
locationparameters“Measureand“BeatTickto
editthelocationoftheevent.
Youcan’tplacetwoormoreeventsatthesame
location.
9. PresstheDonebutton.
10.PresstheSEQUENCERSTART/STOPswitch,and
makesurethattheWAVEfileplaysback.
YoucanpresstheCOMPAREswitchtoreturntothe
stateprior
totheedityoujustperformed.
Wevekeptthisexamplesimple,butyoucanalso
performeditingoperationssuchaschangingthe
playbackpositionoftheWAVEfileinstepsofasingle
sample,changingthelocationrelativetoananchor
point,orcrossfadingtwoaudioevents.Formore

Song editing
Youcanapplyavarietyofeditingoperationstoasong.

DeleteSong:Thiscommanddeletesthecurrently

CopyFromSong:Thiscommandcopiesallofthe
settingdataandmusicaldatafromthespecifiedsong

FF/REWSpeed:Thisallowsyoutosetthespeedat
whichfastforwardorrewindwilloccurwhenyou
presstheFFswitchorREWswitch.Formore

GMInitialize:ThiscommandtransmitsaGMSystem
OnmessagetotheSequencermode,resettingallMIDI

Initialize:Setparametersrelatedtoharddisk
recordingandsamplingtotheirdefaultvalues.
HDR(AudioTrackRecording):Makethenecessary
settingsforrecordingexternalaudiosignalssuchas
guitarorvocal
fromtheaudioinputstoaudio
tracks.
BounceAudioTrack:Makethenecessarysettings
forbouncerecordingaudiotracks.
2chMixtoDisk:Makesettingsforresamplinga
completedsonginordertocreateatwochannel
stereoWAVEfileontheharddisk.(Usethisifyou
wanttocreateaWAVEfileandthenusetheDisk
modeMakeAudioCDpagetoburnthefiletoan
audioCDontheinternalCDR/RWdrive.)
