Sampling (Open Sampling System)
Sampling Overview
About sampling on the OASYS
TheOASYScansampleexternalaudiofromtheanalog
orS/P DIFinputs,at48 kHz16‐bitresolution,inmono
orstereo.YoucanrecordsamplesintoRAM,orsample
directlytodisk.
Youcanalsodigitallyresamplethecompletesoundof
aProgram,Combi,orSong,playedliveorsequenced,
including
anyeffectsandKARMA‐generatedevents.
Finally,youcanalsosample(or“rip”)directlyfroman
audioCD,inthedigitaldomain.
OnceasampleisloadedintoRAM,youcanuseit
directlyinDrumKits,ormakeitintoaMultisample
anduseitanywherethatyouuseROMMultisamples,
suchasinHD‐1ProgramsorWaveSequences.

Installing additional RAM
YoucaninstalladditionalRAM,uptoatotalof2GB.

Sampling to disk
Youcansampledirectlytodisk,creatingaWAVEfile.
Thisletsyourecordupto80minutescontinuously,in

stereo:approximately879 MB).
