Leaving or deleting WAVE files in the TEMP
folder
IfyourecordaudiotracksinSequencermodeandthen
turnoffthepowerwithoutsavingthesong,theWAVE
fileswillremainintheTEMPfolderoftheinternal
harddisk.Ifthisoccurs,thefollowingdialogboxwill
appearthenexttimeyoupower‐on,askingyou
whetheryou
wanttodeletetheseWAVE filesorsave
them:
Thereareun‐savedaudiofilesfromyourprevious
recordingsession.
Doyouwanttorestorethesefiles,ordeletethemfrom
thedisk?
[Restore][Delete]
Ifyoudon’tintendtousetheWAVEfiles,we
recommendthatyoudeletethemsothey
don’twaste
spaceontheinternalharddisk.Todeletethem,press
theDeletebutton.
Ifyouwanttousethesefilesinanewsongetc.,press
theRestorebuttontokeepthem.

LCD screen display when options are
installed
IfyouinstalltheEXB‐DIoptionintheOASYS,the
EXB‐DIwillbeaddedtotheindicationsinthe
“Options”areaofthescreen.AfterinstallingtheEXB‐
DI,besuretocheckthisscreentoseewhetherthis
indicationappears.Ifthisindicationdoesnotappear
eventhough
you’veinstalledtheEXB‐DI,itwasnot
installedcorrectly.Turnoffthepowerandreinstallthe
EXB‐DI.

volumeofyourpoweredmonitororstereoampto
zero.
2. Turnoffthepowerofyourpoweredmonitoror
stereoamp.
3. PresstheOASYS’sPOWERswitchtoturnoffthe
power.
Neverturnoffthepowerwhiledataisbeingwritten
intointernalmemory.
While
dataisbeingwritten,theLCDscreenwill
indicate“Nowwritingintointernalmemory.”Data
iswrittenintointernalmemorybythefollowing

•WhensamplingtoRAMinProgram,Combination,
orSequencermode,ifyousimultaneouslyconvert
thesampletoaprogram.
Neverturnoffthepowerwhilemediasuchasthe
harddiskisbeingaccessed,suchaswhile
recordingorplayingaudiotracks,orsamplingfor
anextendedtimeontheharddisk.Turningoffthe
powerwhilediskaccessisoccurringmayrenderthe
media
unusable.

Inserting a disc
MakesurethattheOASYSison.
1. PresstheejectbuttonoftheCD‐R/RWdriveto
openthedisctray.
Atthistime,thetraywillopenonlyhalfway.You
mustmanuallypullthetrayoutcompletelybefore
placingadisconit.
WhenopeningtheCD‐R/RWdriveforthe
firsttime,
removethepickupstopperfromthedisctraybefore
usingthedrive.
2. Placethediscaccuratelyinthetray,labelsideup.
3. Pushthedisktrayinuntilitiscompletelyclosed.
Removing a disc
1. Presstheejectbuttontoopenthedisctray.
Thetraywillopenabouthalfway.Manuallypullthe
trayoutfarenoughtoremovethediscfromthetray.
2. Gentlyremovethediscfromthedisctray.
3. Pushthedisctrayinuntilitiscompletelyclosed.
Emergency disc removal
Normallyyouwillbeabletoremovethediscas
describedabove.However,ifthisisnotpossibledueto
apowerfailureorotherproblem,youcanalsoremove
thediscasfollows.
