someOASYS‐specificdatamaynotbemaintained
wheninSMFfiles.
GM, XG, and GS System Exclusive Data
TheOASYSsequencercanrecordSystemExclusive
messages,includingXGorGSdata.Formore

NotethatGM,XG,andGSexclusivemessagesdo
notaffecttheOASYSwhentheyareplayedback.
The Compare function
Whenyouperformrealtimerecording,steprecording,
ortrackediting,thisfunctionallowsyoutomake
before‐and‐aftercomparisons.
IfyoucontinueeditingwhentheCOMPAREswitchis
lit,thekeywillgodark.Thisnowbecomesthemusical
datathatwillbeselectedwhentheCOMPAREswitch
isdark.
Anypreviousunsavededitswillbelost.

TheCompareoperationwillalsoapplyto
multisamplesandsamplesthatweresampledwith
“Convertto”enabledin“SelectSampleNo.,”as

meansthatifyouwanttore‐doyoursampling,you
canpresstheCOMPAREswitchtoreturnthe
multisampleand
samplestothestatepriorto
sampling,andunwantedsampleswillnotremain.
TheprogramwillnotbeaffectedbytheCompare,
andwillnotreturntoitspriorstate.
WAVEfilesarenotdeletedwhenyoucompareedits
toaudiotracks.TodeleteaWAVEfileyounolonger
need,
usethemenucommand“DeleteUnusedWAV
Files,”asdescribedonpage 782oftheParameter
Guide.
