Feature Description and Operation Manual

or Circular hunting. The call remains queued until answered, the caller disconnects or
the Overflow timer expires. If the timer expires, the call is routed to the Overflow
Destination. When ipLDK-60 sends a call to the external VM processor, in-band DTMF
signals are provided to identify actions required of the VM as defined in the VM Dialing
Table.
The system supports up to ten (10) Station Hunt Groups and each group may have up to 26
member Stations assigned. A station can be a member of multiple groups of the same type.
Each group can be assigned a name, up to 12 characters, that is displayed in the LCD of DKTs
receiving a call for the Hunt Group.
Terminal, Circular and UCD Hunt and Ring Groups can be configured to play VMIB
announcements to the caller. The 1
st
Announcement is played after the 1st Announcement
timer expires. The 1
st
Announcement can be configured to play immediately as a guaranteed
announcement, meaning it is played in it’s entirety before the hunt process initiates and the
Overflow timer starts. A 2nd Announcement can be configured to play when the 2
nd
Announcement timer expires after the 1
st
Announcement. In addition, the 2
nd
Announcement
can be configured to repeat at intervals of the 2
nd
Announcement timer until the call is answered
or disconnected.
When a station completes a Hunt Group (Terminal, Circular or ACD) the station is held busy to
Hunt Group calls for the Wrap-up timer allowing the user to complete paperwork, etc. After the
expiration of the timer, the station is returned to idle for Hunt Group calls. In addition, Hunt
Group stations may be assigned a Hunt Group DND button. Hunt Group DND allows the
station to be Off-duty for Hunt Group calls but available for other call handling.
Operation
To assign a Hunt Group DND button at a DKT,
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Press the desired Flexible button.
3. Dial ‘8 7’ and the Hunt Group number.
4. Press the [Hold/Save] button.
To activate Hunt Group DND,
1. Press the Hunt Group DND button.
2. The Station is Off-duty for Hunt Group calls but operates normally for other calls.
Consideration
The Overflow Destination may be a station, Group, VMIB Announcement, or System
Speed dial. If no destination is assigned, the call is dropped when the timer expires.
The Announcement Timer is ignored if no VMIB Announcement number is assigned.
A station in DND or Call Forward will not receive Group calls.
If all stations in a Hunt group are in DND, Call Forward, or Hunt Group DND, new and
queued calls are routed to the Overflow Destination or for UCD Groups, the Alternate
Destination.
Transferred calls to a Station Hunt Group are not subject to recall.
