1. Use an H-bar puller to remove the crankshaft
timing disk from the end of the crankshaft (Table
52).

NOTE: Use appropriate size drill bit for pulling screw.
2. Drill two holes of appropriate diameter for slide
hammer use into the rear oil seal at approximately
the 3 and 9 o’clock positions.

3. Useaslidehammer(Table52)toalternately
pull on each side of the rear oil seal using the
two previously drilled holes. Discard oil seal
assembly.
