Removal
GOVERNMENT REGULAT ION: Engine
fluids (oil, fuel, and coolant) may be a hazard

Handle all fluids and other contaminated
materials (e.g. filters, rags) in accordance
with applicable regulations. Recycle
or dispose of engine fluids, filters, and
other contaminated m aterials according to
applicable regulations.

death, shift transmission to park or neutral,
set
parking brake, and block w heels before doing
diagnostic or service procedures.

terminal before disconnecting or connecting
electrical components.

gine fluids.
CAUTION: To prevent engine
damage, make sure
the key is in the OFF positi
on before unplugging the
connector or relay for the
ECM, IDM, and EGR drive
module. Failure to turn t
he key to the OFF position
will cause a voltage spik
e and damage the electrical
components.
CAUTION: To prevent en
gine damage, do not tug on
wiring harnesses; if
resistance is felt, find the problem
and free connectors o
r clips.

1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the
VGT actuator.
