Automatictracking
Y oucanusetheCameraappsettingstoconfigureautomatictrackingforAIS,RadarandMoBtargets:
Cameraapp>Menu>Settings>Cameramotion>A UTOTRACKING
8.2Cartographyoverview
TheChartappincludesabasicworldbasemap.TousetheChartappfornavigationpurposes,
compatible,detailedElectronicNavigationalCharts(ENC)orRasterNavigationalCharts(RNC)are
required.
•RasterNavigationalChart(RNC)—ARasterchartisadigitalimageofapaperchartandtherefor
theavailableinformationislimitedtotheinformationavailableonthepaperequivalent.
•ElectronicNavigationalChart(ENC)—ENCsareVectorbasedchartsandincludeinformationthat
isnotavailableonpaperorRastercharts.ObjectsandfeaturesonVectorchartscanbeselected
toobtaindatabasedinformationthatotherwisewouldnotbereadilyavailable.Objectandfeatures
canalsobeenabledanddisabledorcustomized.
Note:
•Thelevelofdetailandfeaturesavailableonchartsisdependentonvendor ,charttype,
subscriptionlevelandgeographicregion.Priortopurchasingchartscheckthevendor’swebsite
toestablishwhatlevelofdetailisavailableonthechartsyouwanttopurchase.
•Theinformationrelatingtoavailablechartdetailandsettingsinthismanualshouldbetreatedas
guidanceonlyasitissubjecttochangethatisnotunderRaymarine’scontrol.
TheChartapprangescalewillalsoeffectthelevelofdetailshownonscreen.Generallymoredetail
isavailableatlowerranges.Thechartscaleinuseisindicatedbythescaleindicator ,thevalue
displayedisthedistancethatthelinerepresentsacrossthescreen.
Y oucanremoveandinsertchartcardsatanytime.Thechartscreenisautomaticallyredrawnwhen
thesystemdetectsthatacompatiblechartcardhasbeeninsertedorremoved.
Differentcartographytypescanbeviewedsimultaneouslyusinganapppagethatincludesmultiple
instancesoftheChartapp.
