.8LaunchingtheUAV
WhenitissafetodosoyoucanusetheUAVapptolaunchyourUAV.
Priortolaunchensurethatallnecessaryprecautionshavebeentak entoensurenoloss,damageor
injurycanoccur.
1.EnsureyourUAViscorrectlyconnectedandconfigured.
2.Ensureyouhavesetan
Initialheightaftertake-off:intheappropriateAdvancedsettingsmenu:
Menu>Settings>Advanced>Initialheightaftertake-off:
HeightneedstobesufficientsothatyourUAVwillnotcollidewithyourvessel’ssails,masts,
riggingetc.oranyotherstructure.
3.PlaceyourUAVinanopenspacewithsufficientroomtolaunchunobstructed,takinginto
considerationtheeffectsofwinddirectionandspeed,tidedirectionandspeedandthedrift
ofyourownvessel.
4.Select
TakeofffromtheUAVmenu.
5.Select Yestoconfirmtakeoff.
TheUAVwilltakeoffandlifttotheheightspecifiedinstep2aboveandhover.
TheTakeoffcanbecancelledatanytimebyselectingtheRed CancelTakeOffbutton.When
CancelT akeOffisselectedtheUAVwillstopandhoverinitscurrentposition.Ifrequired,youcan
thenusemanualcontroltoretrieveyourUAV.
20.9ControllingtheUAVinflight
WheninflightyoucancontroltheUAVusingtheonscreenvirtualjoysticks.
1.Selectthe
Controlsicontodisplaythe Virtualjoysticks.
2.TheVirtualjoysticksincludecontrolsfor: Up, Down, Turnleft, Turnright, Forwards, Backwards,
Moveleftand Moveright.
3.UsetheGimbalpitchcontroltomovetheUAV’scameratotherequiredposition.
4.Ifdesired,usethe
Recordand Takephotoiconstorecordfootageofyourflight.
Note:
TheVirtualjoystick stakepriorityoveryourUAV’sremotecontroller’sjoysticks,T ousetheremote
controller’sjoystickshidetheVirtualjoysticksbyselectingthe Controlsicon.
