TheAISmodescanbeviewedandchangedfromtheStatusareaintheHomescreen.Selectthe
StatusareaandthenselectAIStodisplayandselectavailablemodes.
TheAISmodeoftheconnectedSTEDscompatibleAIShardwarewillautomaticallybeupdatedto
matchtheselectedmode.
ThefollowingAISmodesareavailable:
•
Normal—InthismodeyourAIShardwarewillreceiveandtransmitAISmessagesandencrypted
AISmessages.
•R eceiveonly—InthismodeyourAIShardwarereceivesAISmessagesandencryptedAIS
messages,buttransmitsnothing(maintainingradiosilence).
•R estricted—InthismodeyourAIShardwarewillreceiveAISmessagesandencryptedAIS
messages,butonlytransmitsencryptedAISmessages(noAISmessagesaretransmitted).This
meansvesselswith‘standard’AISreceivers/transceiverswillnotbeabletodetectBlueForce
vessels.
TheAISmodecanalsobechangedfromthe AISSettingsmenu: Menu>Targets>AISSettings>
AISmodeandfromtheHomescreensettingsmenu: Homescreen>Settings>Responder. AISmode

AISmodereplacesthe Silentmodeoptionavailableonnon-STEDSFirstresponderconfigurations.
