Auto Configuration Save Whenyoudeleteapartition,thelibrary
automaticallygeneratesaconfigurationbackupfileandsavesittothe
memorycardintheLCM.IfyouconfiguredtheemailoptionfortheAuto
ConfigurationSavefile,anemailwiththebackupfileasanattachmentis
senttothespecifiedrecipient(seeEnableEmailfortheAutoConfiguration
SaveFileonpage120).
Note: Donotusethedefaultautosupport@spectralogic.comemail
recipient.SpectraLogicdoesnotsaveemailedconfigurationfiles
unlesstheyarespecificallyrequestedfortroubleshooting.
Delete a Partition Usethefollowingstepstodeleteanexistingpartition.
1. Loginasauserwithsuperuseroradministratorprivileges.
2. SelectMaintenance > MLMtodisplaytheMediaLifecycle
ManagementToolsscreen.IfMediaAutoDiscovery,PreScan,or
PostScanisrunning(asindicatedbythepresenceofaStop Discoveryor
Pause PostScanbutton,respectively),dothefollowing:
ClickStop DiscoverytotemporarilystopMediaAutoDiscoveryor
PreScan(seeFigure181onpage298).
ClickPause PostScantopausethePostScanforonehour(see
Figure184onpage307).
3. Fromthetoolbarmenu,selectConfiguration > Partitions.TheShared
LibraryServicesscreendisplays.
4. ClickDeleteforthepartitionyouwanttodelete.AFeedbackRequired
screendisplays.
5. Selectwhetheryouwanttosavethecurrentlibraryconfiguration.
Don’t Save Library Configuration—Abackupofthechangedlibrary
configurationisnotsaved.
Save Library Configuration To(highlyrecommended)—Savesa
backupfileofthechangedlibraryconfigurationtoeitheraUSB
deviceconnectedtothelibraryorasanattachmenttoanemailsent
toapreviouslyconfiguredrecipient(see
ConfigureMailUserson
page118).Usingthisoptionishighlyrecommendedtoensurethat
youcaneasilyrestorethelibraryconfigurationifnecessary.
Note: IfyouwanttosavetheconfigurationtoaUSBdevice,connectit
toaUSBportontheLCMortheoperatorpanel(T950Bonly)and
allowtimeforthedevicetomountbeforecontinuing.
6. ClickOktoconfirmthatyouwanttodeletethepartitionorclickCancel
toreturntotheSharedLibraryServicesscreen.
Thescreenrefreshes.Thedeletedpartitionisnolongerlistedonthe
SharedLibraryServicesscreen.
