library(seeFigure29onpage64).Thecomponentidentifierforadriveis
shownasFRx/DBAx/fTYPE-DRVx,where:
FRx isthenumberoftheframefromlefttorightwhenviewedfromthe
frontofthelibrary.
DBAxisthenumberoftheDBAcontainingthedrive.
fTYPEistheinterface(fforFibreChannel)anddrivetype(LTOforan
LTOdriveorTS11x0foraTS11x0technologydrive).
DRVxisthenumberofthedrivebayintheDBA,asviewedfromthe
backofthelibrary.
Forexample,Figure30showsthecomponentidentifierforaFibreChannel
LTOdriveinstalledindriv ebay1ofDBA1inFrame1(FR1/DBA1/
fLTO‐DRV1)ontheDrivesscreen.TheDrive Typedescriptorindicatesthat
thedriveisanIBMLTO‐5FibreChanneldrive.

connectionscarrytwotypesofinformation:

Thedatabeingtransferredtoandfromadrivebythehost.
