troubleshooting.
Automaticallyemailsystemmessagesorreportstoconfiguredmail
users.
Automaticallysendanotificationtoaspecifiedrecipientwhencertain
criticaleventsoccur.
DownloadthelatestBlueScalepackagefromSpectraLogic’sSupport
portaldirectlytothelibrary.
Using DHCP Addressing Bydefault,theIPaddressfortheEthernetporton
theLCMissetautomaticallyusingtheDynamicHostConfiguration
Protocol(DHCP).
Notes: IfyouselectDHCPaddressing,theLCMmustbeconnected
toanEthernetnetworkthathasaDHCPservertoobtainan
IPaddress.
DonotselectDHCPaddressingifyournetworkdoesnot
haveaDHCPserver.
Using Static IP Addressing IfyournetworkdoesnotuseDHCP,orifyou
simplywantthelibrarytohaveafixedIPaddress,youcanconfigurea
static(fixed)IPaddressasdescribedinthissection.UsingastaticIP
addressensuresthatyoualwaysknowtheIPaddressforthelibraryandis
highlyrecommended.
