Ifacleaningpartitionisassociatedwiththepartitioncontainingthe
drive,makesurethecleaningpartitioncontainsacleaningcartridge
withGood(green)orUsablehealth.YoucanuseMLMtodeterminethe
healthofthecleaningcartridgescurrentlyinthecleaningpartition(see
GenerateMLMReportsonpage308).Ifnecessary,importaknown
goodcleaningcartridgeintothecleaningpartition(seeImportingintoa
StorageorCleaningPartitiononpage226).
Ifthepartitiondoesnotuseacleaningpartition, acleaningcartridge
withGoodorUsablehealthmustbeinthepartition’sentry/exitpool.
Importaknowngoodcleaningcartridgeintotheentry/exitpool(see
ImportingintoaStorageorCleaningPartitiononpage226).
Notes: Boththescratchtapeandthecleaningcartridgecanbe
importedintotheentry/exitpoolinthesamemagazine.

When importing a cleaning cartridge into the partition’s entry/exit pool, it must be
in a regular TeraPack magazine; it cannot be in a Maintenance TeraPack magazine.
