GENERAL SAFETY RULES
The following safety rules are important for safe operation of the machine. Remember that no amount
of safety rules or safety equipment can make the operation of any machine safe, unless the operator
follows the rules and uses the safety equipment.
Only a responsible, properly trained safety-conscious individual should operate the machine.
The operator should not leave the operator’s platform when the engine is running.
Always keep the operator’s platform and ladder clean and free of debris to help prevent slipping
and falling.
Stay clear of wheels, conveyors/augers, and hopper(s) when engine is running.
Place all controls in neutral or off position and apply park brake before starting machine and
shutting machine down.
Never place body between machine and truck, or machine and paver.
Provide appropriate lighting and marking on the machine to meet jobsite requirements and
regulations.
Be sure safety shields and guards are in place and in good condition before starting the machine.
Before cleaning, adjusting, or servicing machine, turn engine off and place all controls in neutral
or off position and apply park brake. Lower all attachments, or securely support raised
components. A variation of the above procedure may be used if instructed within this manual.
CHECK LAWS AND REGULATIONS
Know and obey all federal, state, and local laws and regulations that apply to your work situation.
WARNING
Failure to follow any of the safety instructions within this manual could
result in death or serious injury. This machine is to be used only for those
