Machine Cleanup
MACHINE CLEANUP
At end of the day’s operation, clean machine to remove build-up of material on the elevator, conveyor,
hoppers, and push rollers.
The spray down solution tank enables the use of environmentally safe fluids.
Some solvents used to clean the machine are not environmentally acceptable and alternate spray
down solutions must be used. Check local regulations for the use of solvents and cleaners.
NOTICE: Regardless of spray down solution type used, it is important to clean and lubricate
machine at the end of each working day while the asphalt and components are hot.
NOTICE: If a high pressure washer or air nozzle is used, do not point directly at machine controls
and electrical/electronic devices. Machine damage may occur.
The spray down system uses liquid from the spray down
tank. A spray wand (1) is located near dump hopper/
windrow control station or on engine compartment.
Machine may be equipped with a hose reel or a flexible
hose which can be uncoupled and connected to other
fittings provided on machine for cleanup.
Open cleanout doors and dump any remaining material
from dump hopper, storage hopper, elevator, and
discharge conveyor.
Clean and lubricate all slat chains and hoppers while
asphalt and components are still hot.
WARNING
Some spray down solutions and fumes can explode and burn.
No smoking. No flame. Do not spray near a hot or running engine.
