Machine Cleanup
Storage Conveyor Cleanout
The storage conveyor is equipped with a cleanout door for access to the conveyor slats and chains for
inspection, cleaning and material removal.
The storage hopper augers and conveyor will not run in reverse with the storage hopper cleanout
doors closed. Fully open both storage hopper doors to run in reverse.
NOTICE: Do not bypass storage hopper door switches and run hopper augers and storage conveyor
in reverse. Auger and hopper damage may occur if material is forced against hopper walls by the
augers. Momentarily jog the storage conveyor between reverse and forward to free stalled conveyor.
If stalled conveyor cannot be started or the plug will not
move, the storage conveyor cleanout door (1) must be
opened.
To open storage conveyor cleanout door:
1. Release latches (2) on both sides of door.
2. Open door with Storage Conveyor Door Lever (3) on
left side of machine.
3. Use Manual Hopper Switch (4) to reverse augers. If
material is in hopper, alternate switch between
reverse and forward to jog augers to dislodge
material.
4. Turn engine off and remove ignition key. Remove
material from door. Clean sealing edges of door and
opening thoroughly to enable door to fully close.
5. Close and latch door.
Augers and conveyor chains and slats can crush or cut. Augers and
conveyors may start unexpectedly when manually removing material
from a stalled elevator.
Turn engine off before manually removing material from stalled elevator.
