Maintenance Procedures
Propel Lever Test
1. Turn ignition switch on, without starting engine.
2. Verity Park Brake is on.
3. Move Propel Lever out of neutral.
4. Attempt to start engine. Display panel will instruct to return Propel Lever to neutral.
5. Engine must not crank with Propel Lever out of neutral.
6. Return Propel Lever to neutral.
7. Start engine.
8. Turn engine off.
9. Contact a Weiler dealer if interlock does not function correctly.
Overall Machine - Check
Shields/Guards and Barriers - Check that all shields, guards and barriers are installed and are
fastened securely to machine. Replace and repair any shields, guards or barriers that are damaged or
have missing parts.
Hardware - Check machine for loose, worn, or missing parts and hardware. Tighten any loose parts
and replace any worn or missing parts. Refer to Parts Manual for replacement parts.
Frame - Check machine frame and contact Weiler dealer immediately if you notice any bending or
cracking.
Fire Prevention - Keep engine compartment, battery, hydraulic lines, fuel tank and operator’s
station clean of accumulated grease and debris.
Electrical Harness - Check that electrical harness and all wires are properly supported and not
rubbing on any sharp corners. Support any loose wires hanging under machine frame.
Engine Belts - Inspect for worn, cracked, or frayed belts. Replace if worn or damaged.
Runover possible. Contact with moving parts can cut or crush.
Make sure no one is working on, underneath, or close to machine before
starting engine or moving machine. Ensure area is free of personnel. Keep
spectators away.
