Maintenance Procedures
Pump Drive Gearbox - Drain/Refill
1. Remove breather/fill port fitting (1).
2. Remove drain plug (2) and drain fluid into a suitable
container with capacity of at least 1.5 gal (5.7 L).
3. Replace plug.
4. Refill gearbox at breather/fill port (1) with 1.5 gal
(5.7 L) of fluid.
5. Check fluid level with dipstick (3).
NOTICE: Do not overfill.
6. Wash breather in clean nonflammable solvent.
7. Allow breather to dry, or use compressed air to dry.
8. Install breather and fitting.
Pump Drive Fluid Level - Check
1. Allow pump drive fluid to settle for 5 minutes after
shutting off engine.
2. Check fluid level with dipstick (1).
3. Maintain fluid level on dipstick between “Full” and
“Add” marks.
4. Clean area around pump drive breather/fill port (2).
5. Remove fitting and add fluid if necessary.
6. Install breather/fill port fitting.
