Slope Operation Safety
Operate the remixing transfer vehicle at a speed suitable for the terrain. Avoid sudden stopping,
starting or turning. Avoid operating on soft ground. Safe operating slope depends upon many factors,
including:
Machine weight distribution
Position of wheels
Uneven, rough or slippery ground conditions
Potential for ground giving way, causing either unplanned forward, reverse, or sideways tilt
Nearness of ditches, ruts, or other obstructions and sudden changes in slope
Travel speed and turning rate
Braking performance
Skill of machine operator
MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING
WARNING
Falling or jumping from ladder, steps, or platform can result in serious
injury.
Keep ladder, steps, and platform areas clear of objects and debris which
may cause difficulties climbing on or off machine.
Always face ladder when mounting or dismounting from the platform.
Mount and dismount machine only where steps and/or handholds are
provided.
Inspect, and when necessary, clean and have repairs made to steps and
handholds before mounting and dismounting.
Maintain three-point (two feet and one hand or one foot and two hands)
contact with the steps and handholds.
Never get on machine while engine is running or machine is in motion.
Do not try to climb on or off machine when carrying tools or supplies.
WARNING
Slippery surfaces may cause you to slip and fall.
