Machine Shutdown Procedure
MACHINE SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE
NOTICE: Stopping engine immediately after working under load can result in overheating and
accelerated wear of components. Avoid accelerating engine prior to shutting down. Avoiding hot
engine shutdowns will help maximize turbocharger life.
1. Turn Park Brake (1) on.
2. Turn elevator/conveyor drive and generator off.
3. Lower elevator to place dump hopper firmly on
ground. Or raise elevator and engage both lift
cylinder stops.
4. Completely lower discharge conveyor.
5. Slow engine rpm to low/idle and run for 5 minutes.
6. Turn engine off and remove ignition key (2).
7. Turn Battery Ground Disconnect Switch (3) off
when shutting machine down for the day.
