Preparing Machine
Caster Wheel Height Adjustment
Dump Hopper Machine
Ensure machine is on level ground and tires are properly inflated before starting procedure. Refer to
"Specifications", page A-1 for proper tire inflation.
1. Start engine. Lower elevator until caster wheels
contact ground. Turn engine off.
2. Measure dump hopper clearance. Front of dump
hopper should be 1–3" (25–76 mm) above ground.
3. If adjustment is necessary, support caster wheel at
lift hook (1) using a suitable lifting device. Remove
caster wheel mount fasteners (2).
4. Raise or lower dump hopper until front of hopper is
within specification.
5. Align holes in caster wheel adjustment plates. It
may be necessary to raise or lower elevator slightly
to align holes.
6. Install and tighten caster mount fasteners (2).
NOTICE: Adjust height of both caster wheels evenly.
7. Lower elevator until caster wheels contact ground, and verify dump hopper clearance. Re-adjust
as necessary.
WARNING
Severe hand, finger, or foot injury possible from falling caster wheel.
Caster wheel assembly may drop suddenly when removing fasteners.
Ensure caster wheel is securely supported before adjusting.
