Power Take-Off Clutch - Check/Adjust
NOTICE: Check clutch adjustment on new power take-off
clutch after initial ten hours of operation. New clutch may
require several adjustments until plates are worn in.
Test clutch lever engagement torque. Using torque wrench
with 1.5 inch socket on lever pivot hex (1), check for clutch
engagement torque of 134-177 ft-lb (182-240 Nm).
Adjust Clutch
1. Shut down engine.
2. Remove adjustment access cover.
3. Push in lock pin (2) to disengage adjusting collar (3).
4. Turn adjusting collar (3) until hand lever torque is
134-177 ft-lb (182-240 Nm).
5. Check that collar lock pin fully engages a collar notch
after adjusting.
6. Install access cover.
When clutch is disengaged, hand lever must fall
