PKT-INT (Packet Interface)
Issue 1 May 2002
8-1267555-233-143
Reset Test (#889)
The reset action initializes the Packet Interface firmware on the IPSI circuit pack
and runs a comprehensive set of diagnostic tests.
The demand reset action will abort if the specified IPSI circuit packs Packet
Interface is in the active in-service state.
An IPSI circuit packs Packet Interface is put in the out-of-service state
automatically if it has been reset 3 times by background maintenance within the
last 15 minutes, independent of the results of the reset action.
If this is a high- or critical-reliability system and if the Packet Interface is on the
standby IPSI, the demand reset action will run, independent of the service state.
2000 ABORT Response to the test request was not received within the allowable time period.
